Echevaria 'Black Prince'

Size:
Hardy, low spreading succulent.

Position:
Full sun to part sun.

Care:
Plant in well drained soil and if planting in pots, be sure to use good quality succulent and cacti potting mix which will contain an increased proportion of sand to keep succulents from staying too wet. Water in hot dry periods and little or not at all in Winter. Protect from frost and handle carefully due to soft fleshy leaves.

Uses:
Rosette-like dark foliage contrasts well with other grey coloured succulents. New leaves emerge green and become darker with age. Perfect groundcover plant for hot dry spots and in low maintenance gardens. Rosettes multiply to fill bare spots in containers and shallow roots mean Echeverias do not compete much for root space. Wide shallow pots potted with a collection of Echeverias and other succulents are very popular for a modern designer look. Use on tables inside or out. Tolerates coastal conditions.
