Choisya ternata

Choisya ternata

Mexican Orange Blossom

Size:
Height and width to 2m.

Position:
Full sun to part shade.

Care:

Low maintenance. Requires good drainage. For best results, incorporate compost into the existing soil at planting time, fertilise in Spring and apply mulch. Prune after flowering to maintain dense growth. Good disease and pest resistance. Can be pruned back hard. Allow soil to dry out between watering as Choisya prefers to be kept on the dry side and can die from over watering.

Uses:
Extremely hardy, fast growing, shrub with beautiful white flowers in Spring.  Creates beautiful flowering backdrop for other garden plants. As leaves mature, foliage deepens from a lush lime green to a glossy dark green which can sometimes be mistaken for Murraya paniculata (Similar common names, foliage and flowers).
