Rosmarinus officinalis

Description:
Popular perennial herb with aromatic foliage. Prune regularly to maintain bushy growth. Can be  grown as a hedge. Prostrate forms (ground hugging) are also available.

Up to 1.5m

Position:
Full - part sun

Seed:
Plant in Spring, Summer or Autumn.

Care:
Prune after flowering to encourage dense new growth. For best results, plant into well drained soil (incorporated with compost) and fertilise  in Spring and Autumn. Potted Rosemary should be fertilised once every 2 weeks with a liquid fertiliser like 'Powerfeed' and given a slow release fertiliser every 6 months.

Uses:
Culinary. Ideal with roasted lamb and potatoes, or with olive oil, garlic and bread.  Strip the leaves off Rosemary stems for flavoursome barbeque skewers!
