Magnolia grandiflora 'St Mary'



Size:
Height to 6m, width to 3m after 10 years.

Position:
Full sun to part shade.

Care:

For best results, thoroughly incorporate compost into existing soil before planting. Prefers well drained, slightly acidic soil. Keep moist in Summer (remember to mulch) and fertilise in Spring and Autumn. Relatively pest and disease free.


Uses:
Spectacular evergreen hedge or tree with glossy apple green leaves and bronze under side which looks fantastic when lit up at night. Massive creamy white flowers appear in warmer months. Relatively quick growing for a Magnolia. Tip prune to maintain dense growth. Can be shaped into giant topiary balls or standards.
