Variegated Thyme

Additional Information

Thymus x citriodorus

Description:
A variegated perennial groundcover with yellow leaf margins. It has a slight peppery, lemon flavour and provides great foliage contrast amongst other herbs.

Size:

20cm (h)  x 40cm (w).

Position:

Full - part sun

Seed:
Sow in Spring - Autumn

Care:

Prune regularly to encourage fresh new growth. Plant in well drained soil incorporated with compost or into quality potting mix if  planting in a pot. For best results, feed with a liquid fertiliser (like 'Powerfeed') once every 7-10 days. If using leaves only, tip prune regularly to discourage flowering and seed production.

Uses:

Culinary. Use with chicken and fish. Partners well with Marjoram in tomato sauce based dishes or with Rosemary, onions, Bay leaf and garlic.

Available sizes:

10cm pots
14cm pots
20cm pots
