Persicaria odorata (sometimes known as Vietnamese Coriander or laksa).

Description:
A vigorous perennial herb that spreads easily. Be sure to plant mint in pots!


Size:

50cm (h) with spreading habit.

Position:

Full - part sun

Seed:
Sow in Spring - Autumn

Care:

Prune regularly to keep growth dense. Mint can be cut to almost ground level and will recover quickly. Plant in good quality potting mix and for best results, feed with a liquid fertiliser (like 'Powerfeed') once every 7-10 days and apply a slow release fertiliser once every 6 months. .

Uses:

Culinary. Great in Vietnamese and general Asian dishes like curries, soups and partners well with coconut milk. Tastes similar to Coriander with a hint of lemon.
